Terms of Use – Equipment Rental at Finsehytta

GENERAL

By booking and renting equipment from Finsehytta, the renter agrees to the terms and conditions set out below. We recommend that you read the terms carefully before completing your booking. Finsehytta cannot guarantee the availability of equipment or sizes other than those booked.

HANDOVER OF RENTAL EQUIPMENT

The rental equipment is handed over at Finsehytta. Full payment must be completed before the equipment is released. The rental period is stated in the booking and order confirmation.

Any complaints regarding the condition or functionality of the equipment must be reported at the time of handover. If not reported, the equipment is considered accepted in satisfactory condition.

RETURN OF RENTAL EQUIPMENT

The equipment must be returned to Finsehytta by the agreed time, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Early return does not entitle the renter to a refund.

If the renter wishes to extend the rental period, Finsehytta must be contacted in advance. Extensions are subject to availability, and additional rental days will be charged according to the current price list. Finsehytta cannot guarantee that the rental period can be extended.

The equipment must be returned tidy, cleaned, and dry. A surcharge of NOK 500 will apply if this is not complied with. The renter is responsible for notifying Finsehytta if no staff are present at the time of return.

USE OF EQUIPMENT AND LIABILITY

All use of rented equipment is at the renter’s own risk. The renter is fully responsible for loss of or damage to the equipment during the rental period, beyond normal wear and tear. This responsibility also applies if the equipment is used by others with the renter’s permission.

Reporting of damage: Any damage must be reported. Costs related to repairs resulting from negligent use may be charged to the renter. In the event of loss of a pulk or other equipment, the renter is responsible for all costs associated with replacing the lost item.

Finsehytta assumes no responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from the use of rented equipment. Any issues related to the functionality of the equipment must be reported immediately to Finsehytta via finsehytta.booking@dnt.no or by phone at +47 56 52 67 32.

BOOKING, PAYMENT AND VAT

An order confirmation will be sent by email upon completion of the booking. Payment is made online by VISA or Mastercard through our payment provider NETS. All prices include VAT.

CANCELLATION

In the event of no-show without cancellation, the full rental amount will be charged.

For cancellations later than 5 days before the agreed start time, 50% of the rental fee will be retained.
For cancellations earlier than 5 days before the agreed start time, 5% of the rental fee will be retained to cover administrative costs.

The Right of Withdrawal Act does not apply to equipment rental.

LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY

The renter is legally responsible for all equipment issued during the rental period. The equipment may not be sold, sublet, pledged, or otherwise transferred to others without consent from Finsehytta.

The renter must be 18 years of age or older to rent equipment.

If one person rents equipment on behalf of a group, that person is responsible for informing the other participants about these terms, correct use of the equipment, and relevant safety limitations.

The lessor specifically informs the renter that no personal injury, accident, or travel insurance is included in the rental agreement. The renter is responsible for arranging valid insurance if deemed necessary.

JURISDICTION

These terms are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with Norwegian law. The agreed legal venue is Oslo District Court.

CHANGES TO TERMS

Finsehytta reserves the right to amend or replace these terms at any time. The current terms will always be available at www.utleie.finsehytta.no. If changes are considered significant in relation to the renter’s rights or obligations, the updated terms will be made available on utleie.finsehytta.no at least 30 days before they take effect.

By using the service after the updated terms have been made available at www.finsehytta.no, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not accept the new terms, you may not use the rental services at Finsehytta
